Title: 219 .22 Hornet on Gunbroker
Post by: Mike Armstrong on July 21, 2017, 12:20:43 PM
Just noticed that Joe Salter (reputable NH dealer) has a nice .219 for sale on Gunbroker, item #671060069.   Stock has been refinished (nicely) and the rear sight has been replaced with a dovetail slot filler; a Weaver 1-piece scope base has been put on the receiver/chamber area.  Markings are not described and I can't read them online but it looks to me like a 219A or late Chicopee Falls 219--has alloy guard but thin trigger and what looks like a steel safety and flanged barrel.

Starting price seems OK to me, but then, it's an AUCTION.....

Mike, it is a nice looking gun and I think most likely made at Utica, but it has been on for a while.  I think the starting price might be a little high, but we will see.  It is on my watch list.
