Gun Show 10-23-21

(1/2) > >>

Garnett:
I carried 11 Savage 219/220's to the show to try to sell.  No one even knew what they were.  Only one person picked up one to look at it.  Two "Experts" identified them to a friend(s) with them, as Winchester Model 37's.  Last time I looked at a Winchester Model 37, it had an external hammer!

OhioMike:

are you thinning the herd?

Garnett:
Yes, I bought 45 different Model 219/220's for research for my book and I really don't need all of them anymore.  As an example, I have 3 prewar Trap models, 12, 16, and 20 gauge, with various barrel lengths.  I am going to keep the best one and try to sell the other two.

OhioMike:
Are you going to list them here? Preferably with prices. ;D

Mike Armstrong:
But Garnett, didn't you know that Winchester listed the Model 37 as "semi-hammerless"?  (I've had one all my life since 1952 and my danged thumb STILL thinks it's got a hammer....).
