Today I got my M219 Savage. It has been converted into a line throwing gun. It has a serial number so I am going to write Savage for a factory letter. It was converted by LAL's Gun Shop, North Haven, Conn. The gun was made in 1964 at Westfield. It was a .22 Hornet converted to .218 Bee, smooth bore. It is called a "Nemisis". If anyone has any information on this conversion, please contact me.

Now that's something you don't see everyday! How unusual, please let us know what Savage has to say. Thank for the photo.

The letter is in the mail. I hope to get some good information, but you never know. Instead of buying direct from Savage, this LAL's gun shop may have purchased from a local hardware store. However, the job is so professional, they may have done more than one and hopefully purchased several guns at one time from Savage.

Garnett, did you ever get your letter response? They aren't great about it, both when Callahan did it, and since. Such an interesting gun. I could make GREAT use of this throwing line over high branches for tree work!

My bank notified my last Tuesday that the check made to them was cashed. I am away from home and will return Monday. Hopefully the letter will be there. I'll keep you posted.
