A beautiful and very rare gun! Thanks for posting! Does it have “US” markings on it?
-
None that i see just a small 20 with a small circle on the receiver.
-
That is an inspector’s mark. The reason I asked about a “US” mark is that the most common story about these guns is that the Army Air Corps bought them to shoot birds inside aircrat hangers.

Thats Interesting I didn't know that. Was it stamped on the receiver or the barrel? I have been looking for a 220 .410 and seen this thought that's what it was until the owner of store said it's 22 shot either way couldn't pass it up for the price!!

There is one US marked 220 on Gun Broker now. It is stamped “US Property” on the stock and has a rack number stamped on the frame. I have had two”US” marked. 220’s, both stamped into the frame. I have seen one other marked like them. My son has a double barrel that is marked “US Property” on the stock, the same as the GB listing. No matter the lack of US, your gun is rare. GB also has a .410 now.
