Got an old 220 20 ga. shotgun in need of repair . anyone have parts if I need them ?

This is a 220 chickapee mass. and it wont lock closed , it seems the top lever has no resistance............... Ok I got it apart and looks like I need a top lever screw and a firing pin and she will be in good shape to fire it. Anyone have any parts ?

it seems that you are missing the safety push rod spring, it looks like a funny shaped wire.  it is #34 on the schematic.  the safety push rod sits atop of the firing pin and provides spring tension to the top lever.

ok got in touch with numrich and there sending these parts  :  safety push rod spring  ,  top lever screw  , firing pin ,  .

Ok I put it together and the top lever is too tight to move the heavy spring , I pulled the pin and it seemed to be more tension on the top lever. What could be wrong with this setup ? Anyone Have an assembly diagram ? Spring seems to be way too long an not enough compression travel.

Thanks Garnett , I put everything together as found and it seems after looking closely the top snap arm is not making contact with the firing pin assembly when turned , so I will look into if I am missing another part or the original parts are worn or bent ?

All I can say about this now, is what I read on an internet forum sometime ago.  "When  putting parts back in the action, if a wire seems to be bent....DO NOT STRAIGHTEN IT!  It is that shape for a purpose."  Did you by any chance straighten something you thought was bent?  We are very fortunate here in Selma, Alabama.  We have 3 expert machinist gunsmiths.  I carry all my problems to them.  Good luck.

Everything is back together and the top lever will not catch , I ordered a new one with my parts and its the same with the old one too. does not seem to fit properly so I'm off to the smith. I thought some one would chime in an give a helping hand...
