Another reader of my book has shared with me information on the "Utility Gun" models. The "Utility" gun is one action with a rifle barrel and a shotgun barrel with a forearm for each. On page 17 of my first book I list the model numbers as printed in the Savage 1940 catalog. They are 221, 222, 223, 227, 228, &229. Please note that none of these numbers are actually on the guns. The catalog states that other combinations are availble on special order. This reader has found a listing of "Utility Guns" with other model numbers. While I don't know where this information was found, it goes right along with the earlier Savage printed numbers, and I believe it is safe to use this newly found list until someone proves it false.
1-3-18 An updated list of model numbers is on page 294 of my Revised Edition.

Look in your blue book of gun values, thirteith edition, page 1598, middle of page. It lists same model numbers.
