I have a very early .22/.410 that is marked "Pat-Pend" that is standard in every way. I really don't know about a "youth" model. A reader questioned me about a "youth model" 219 or 220 sometime ago and we finally determined the barrel and stock had been shortened after leaving the factory. If on the 24-C models, they marked them like the 219/220's, there should be an assembly number or part of the serial number (if your gun has one) stamped into the wood under the butt plate. If not there, it could be cut off and holes extended. I have all Savage catalogs from 1937 to about 1967 and I don't recall seeing one listed. However, that means nothing, as I have two guns not listed in the catalogs. Let us know what you find out. How about a picture?
