Stevens No. 10 with replaced/shortened barrels

The past several months I have seen several of these pistols for sale on the internet that have replaced or shortened barrels.  There was nothing in any of the descriptions advising of either version.  When I questioned one man about a cut barrel he did not respond.  Another assured me the barrel was not replaced.  It was an octagon barrel with absolutely no factory markings.  For those of you not as familiar as others, the barrel is held in place in the barrel shroud by a pin.  Sometimes it is very difficult to see this pin.  Best wishes, and a Happy New Year!
