Receivers

OhioMike:
Are 220 receivers standard across gauge and caliber?

Garnett:
Yes, all receivers are the same for both 219 and 220 actions.  I have purchased all gauges and all calibers (except .32-20) in my research for my book, and all are the same over all outside dimension size.    There was some misinformation on one forum saying the 12 & 16 gauge actions were larger than the 20, 28, and .410.  This is totally incorrect.

OhioMike:
Thank you ( I think ;)). Now I can start looking for barrels/forearms

Garnett:
Forearms have different size barrel channels and attachment mechanisms and may have to be fitted to a particular barrel.  There are two different style of forearm attachment studs on the barrels I have examined.  They are pictured on page 101 of my latest book.  I am away from home and cannot post pictures of them.

Sentry44:
I own the majority of barrels, and you only need the large channel forearm for the 12 and 16 gauge.  The lower profile forearm works for all calibers, and smaller gauge shotgun barrels.

I can only speak for Utica parts, but safe bet it's the same in the Chicopee era.
